FINALLY!

We are moving out of this apartment, I am so happy! I am jumping up and down, seriously I am!! I know we are crazy to move before Christmas, but we don't have a fireplace here so how will Santa come to visit us?

Anyway's we were at Best Buy checking out camera's and Trent found the Guitar Hero they had set up, and of course dad just HAD to try it out. I think the inner rock star came out in Trent.

It's FARMING time!

We went home for a visit and Trent got to ride in the combine with Uncle Kent, he was soooo excited! Or so we thought, he fell asleep in 5 minutes! He can't wait to do it again!!

Halloween

Trent was so excited to get dress up and head out for candy!!! We walked to the door with him the first few times then he would put his hand up and halt us saying he could do it on his own. He got a impatient at a few houses and just decided to open up the doors himself to get his candy!

We had a fun visit back home and Trent put on Uncle Kent's boots. What a stinker!

Katie the Kangaroo

For a school project Katie the Kangaroo came to visit us for the weekend. We will write in her journal about all the adventures we have had during her visit. Well, we are quite a boring bunch and the most adventuresome we got was going out for a walk. We did happen upon a caterpillar or "pat-a-piller" as Trent would like to call them. We hope Katie had fun with us and comes to visit us again soon!

We had our family pictures taken a few weeks ago, here are just a couple of them!

A dog and his boy....

There is no separating Rocky & Trent, they play and play and play together!

They really are best friends! When we put Trent to bed at night Rocky ALWAYS tries to sneak in there and hop on the bed to sleep with him.

In the morning, Trent is usually the first one up and the first thing he does is go and get Rocky out of the kennel. If for some reason Terry or I are the first ones up when we let Rocky out of his kennel he goes straight to Trent’s room to wake up his best friend.

Nana

Nana came for a visit this week and we were so happy to see her!

Trent brought this home from school and pulled it out of his backpack and was so excited to show us. He says "look what I made at school." Of course we ooooh and ahhhhh over it, while looking at each other with confused faces because we REALLY have no clue what it is.

Politely as I can, I ask "what is it Bud?"

oh, yes. I can see that it is now.

In our defense the face of the whale is drawn on the tail, so that kinda threw us off.

Trick-or-Treat pail

Only spent $2.99 for the pail and I had the rest of the supplies at home! For not being very crafty, thought it turned out pretty cute! Trent is ready to go trick-or-treating tonight and cannot wait for Halloween to get here!

Trent wanted to learn how to use the camera, and he took picture after picture after picture. When I was done getting the flash in my face 1401 times he found a new subect: Spiderman! He posed Spiderman in the tree and would adujust him until he was perfect and then would snap a picture.

Rock Star

These are what Trent refers to as his "rock star" glasses and we almost had a meltdown as we left for daycare because he couldn't find them!

I'd like to report a theft.

Terry was heading off to class tonight and wanted some change so he could get a snack. I didn't have any and neither did he....so he raided Trent's college money! I was appalled and told him so. His response, "what's new, your always appalled" well okay, I guess I can't argue with that.

But anyway, I present the evidence.

There is now a shortage of $.75 out of Trents college fund. I don't know how we will ever be able to send him to college now.

There Is No Fix

From everything I've read and based on everything I can understand, the end point remains much farther down. All a bailout will do is prolong the pain; let them fail and get the worst over with.


So, why am I against the bail out? There is no accountability for people who put us into this mess. The policy makers in congress who decided that home ownership should be a universal right. Excuse me but, where does the constitution or declaration of independence guarantee home ownership for free? It doesn't, it only guarantees one's right to life, liberty and the pursuit, not entitlement, only the pursuit of happiness. What does this mean? It means you can dream about the things you don't have and want, but you have to work to get them.

How tall am I?

While in the bathtub tonight Trent asked "how many inches tall am I", I told him we could measure when he got out. So he got out of the tub and went and stood on the scale so I could measure how "tall" he is!!! He's too stinkin' cute!
He weighs 38.5 lbs, we will measure height later!

Trent - Oh, that wasn't high enough I have to do it again.

Rock Climbing!

So we were at a B-day party and they had rock climbing (how will we ever compete (sigh))! And of course Mr. T just HAD to do it! And what do you know, the little monkey climbed all the way to the TOP! He was the only one to go ALL the way up! It sort of scared me a little, I mean how safe are those REALLY!?! He was so proud of himself!
